Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how ApexNova Digital LLC (“ApexNova,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information when you use the Voicee Connect mobile application, voicee.me, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
This Policy is a notice about our practices; it is not a promise that the Service will always be available, error-free, or immune from security incidents. Our Terms of Use govern your use of the Service.
1. Who we are
Voicee Connect is operated by ApexNova Digital LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company in the United States. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to support@voicee.me.
2. Information we process
Account and profile information
- Account, user, and authentication identifiers.
- Email address, display name, or other profile information provided through an available sign-in method.
- Language choices, settings, consent records, feature preferences, and account status.
Some preferences, such as interface language or downloaded language-model state, may be stored on your device. If no supported interface language is selected, the app may use your device setting.
Translation and conversation information
- Text, audio, recognized speech, language tags, translation results, delivery status, and temporary conversation data submitted through the Service.
- Connect request, participant, session, QR/link, device-capability, and routing information required to establish and secure a two-device session.
- Support messages and files or information you choose to provide to us.
Do not submit information you are not authorized to share. A participant may receive, view, hear, copy, record, or otherwise retain information you send; we cannot control what another participant does after receiving it.
Purchase and credit information
- Product identifiers, subscription and entitlement status, purchase and renewal events, expiration information, transaction identifiers, store receipts or tokens, refunds, reversals, and AI-credit balances and usage.
- Apple or Google processes payment credentials. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card number.
Device, network, security, and technical information
- App/build version, operating system, device type, installation and app-user identifiers, notification token, IP address, timestamps, network and locale information.
- Authentication, device-attestation and app-integrity signals, request metadata, rate-limit events, diagnostic information, errors, performance data, and security or anti-fraud records.
- Microphone, speech-recognition, notification, and related permission status where required to provide a requested feature.
- If rewarded advertising is offered and you choose to use it, ad interactions and device or advertising identifiers may be processed according to applicable consent choices and platform settings.
3. Local Translation, Connect, and AI Boost
Local Translation
For supported Local Translation features, speech recognition or translation may be performed on your device. Local availability depends on the device, operating system, installed language models, permissions, and platform services. Google ML Kit may contact Google to download or update language models and may process application, device, performance, utilization, diagnostic, maintenance, and abuse-prevention information under Google’s terms. Local mode does not mean that all Service-related information remains offline: authentication, entitlement checks, app integrity, Connect routing, source-message transport, notifications, security, and temporary session coordination may still use our servers and providers.
Voicee Connect
Connect transports source messages and required session metadata between accepted participants through our infrastructure. Translation may occur locally on a recipient’s device or, when AI Boost is validly selected and authorized, through cloud processing. A permanent QR code or link identifies where a request should be delivered; it does not itself contain the conversation. Anyone who obtains a QR code or link may attempt a request, although a conversation should begin only after acceptance.
AI Boost and third-party AI
When you affirmatively select or use AI Boost, relevant text, audio, language information, and technical metadata are transmitted through our backend to OpenAI or another disclosed AI service provider to perform transcription or translation. Do not use AI Boost if you do not want the submitted content processed by a third-party AI provider. Where applicable law or platform policy requires a separate permission, we will request it before that processing.
OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models by default unless the customer opts in. Provider-controlled safety or abuse-monitoring logs may contain prompts, outputs, audio-derived content, and metadata and may be retained under the provider’s then-current policies, including longer retention when legally required. Provider practices may change; links and provider notices should be reviewed for current details.
4. How and why we use information
- Authenticate users and provide translation, Connect, notifications, purchases, credits, account management, support, and requested features.
- Route messages, establish sessions, determine language/model readiness, and coordinate temporary conversations.
- Confirm server-authorized access, reconcile purchases, prevent duplicate grants, process refunds or reversals, and maintain transaction integrity.
- Protect accounts, users, providers, and the Service; detect abuse, fraud, malicious activity, compromised clients, and violations of our Terms.
- Debug, monitor, maintain, and improve reliability, safety, accessibility, and usability.
- Respond to support, privacy, legal, and account-deletion requests.
- Comply with law, preserve evidence, enforce agreements, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- Create aggregated or appropriately de-identified statistics that do not reasonably identify a person.
5. Legal bases
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely as applicable on performance of our contract with you; compliance with legal obligations; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting, and improving the Service and preventing fraud; protection of users and legal rights; and consent for processing that requires consent, such as certain advertising, device permissions, or third-party AI processing. You may withdraw consent through available app or device controls or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully completed and may prevent the affected feature from working.
6. Service providers and other disclosures
We disclose information only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service, process purchases, follow your instructions, comply with law, or protect rights and safety. Providers may include:
- Google Firebase and Google Cloud — authentication, database, server functions, app integrity, notifications, hosting, logs, and infrastructure.
- Google ML Kit and platform speech services — on-device models, speech or translation functionality, downloads, and related technical metrics.
- OpenAI — cloud AI transcription or translation that you request through AI Boost.
- RevenueCat — subscriptions, purchases, entitlements, app-user identifiers, device information, receipts, purchase tokens, and transaction events.
- Apple App Store and Google Play — distribution, payment processing, subscriptions, refunds, store services, and platform security.
- Google Mobile Ads and consent services — rewarded advertising and applicable privacy choices, if offered and used.
- Hostinger — voicee.me hosting and standard website logs.
Providers act under their own terms and privacy notices and may process information in countries different from yours. We may also disclose information to professional advisers; authorities when legally required; persons involved in investigating fraud, abuse, security incidents, or threats; or parties to a merger, financing, reorganization, asset transfer, or sale, subject to applicable safeguards.
We do not sell translation content. We do not use translation content for targeted advertising. We do not disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising except where clearly disclosed and permitted by applicable law.
7. Retention
- Connect conversations: accepted sessions are designed to expire after no more than 15 minutes of inactivity. Cleanup, replication, retry queues, logs, backups, or incident preservation may require additional time.
- AI operations: content is retained only as reasonably needed to complete, retry, secure, investigate, and account for an operation. Terminal technical operation records are generally scheduled for deletion after a short period, commonly seven days, unless a longer period is needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, disputes, or system recovery.
- Accounts and settings: retained while an account is active and then deleted, de-identified, or restricted following deletion, subject to backups and lawful exceptions.
- Purchases, credits, refunds, security, fraud-prevention, tax, and accounting: retained as reasonably necessary to honor purchases, prevent duplicate grants or abuse, resolve disputes, meet store requirements, and comply with law.
- Provider systems and backups: deletion may follow provider-controlled schedules. Residual copies may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, or legally preserved records and may not be immediately accessible for ordinary use.
Retention periods are criteria-based and may change where reasonably necessary for law, security, provider requirements, technical recovery, or legal claims. We do not undertake to preserve temporary conversations for users, and the Service should not be used as permanent storage.
8. Security and incidents
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the Service, such as encrypted transport, access controls, server-side authorization, app-integrity checks, monitoring, and limited retention. However, no device, transmission, software, network, cloud platform, authentication method, or storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that attacks, unauthorized access, interception, malware, device compromise, provider failure, human error, or other incidents will never occur.
You are responsible for securing your device, sign-in methods, QR codes, links, operating system, backups, and communications with other participants. Notify us promptly at support@voicee.me if you suspect unauthorized use. We will investigate and provide notices when required by applicable law.
9. International transfers
ApexNova and several providers are located in, or process information from, the United States and other countries whose laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms or other lawful safeguards.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to know about, access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a portable copy of personal data; withdraw consent; opt out of certain advertising; and appeal or complain to a regulator. Submit a request to support@voicee.me. We may verify identity and authority before acting on a request.
- Manage microphone, speech, notifications, and other permissions in device settings.
- Choose Local instead of AI Boost where Local is supported and available.
- Manage subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Use available privacy or advertising controls in the app and operating system.
Some controls may be unavailable when no optional processing is active. Disabling necessary permissions or withdrawing a required consent may disable the related feature.
11. Account deletion
You may initiate deletion in the app. If you cannot access it, follow voicee.me/delete-account.html. We aim to delete or de-identify account-associated information, subject to authentication, fraud, transaction, legal, security, backup, and provider-retention exceptions described above. Deleting your Voicee account or app does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription; cancel through the applicable store to prevent future renewal charges.
12. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If local law requires a higher minimum age or parental authorization, that requirement applies. Contact us if you believe a child provided information contrary to this Policy.
13. Website and external links
voicee.me may process IP address, browser and device type, requested page, timestamp, referrer, and security or server-log information for delivery, availability, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. The Service may link to third-party sites or stores. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this Policy.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, providers, security, features, or processing. We will publish the effective date and provide additional notice or request renewed consent when legally required. Material changes do not retroactively authorize materially different processing where new consent is required.
